 | Linda Richter | Prior to moving to Bonaire, I found many of my compositions involved the deep shadows and full sun captured around windows. I often painted light and reflections in glass and tried to capture the luminous sunlight shining through flowers and leaves. Moving to Bonaire, opened up a whole new world of nature year round.
I have found the vibrant colors and dramatic creatures of Bonaire to be inspirational. The brilliant Caribbean light bounces off the intense Bonaire colors – mustard yellow houses, neon green iguanas, turquoise water, coral pink flamingos, the incredible purples of the salt pans against the white mountains of salt. Bonaire is a truly rich visual experience. I hope my paintings reflect some of that intensity.

 | Jake Richter | Nature’s beauty and color in motion have always been a great attraction to me, and capturing such imagery via my “third eye” - the lens of my camera - has always been a goal of my photography. And in the last decade, with the advent of digitizing technology and photo editing capabilities transforming my photo studio from one of chemicals and enlargers to one of pixels and computers, I have found ways to repaint my photographs with a digital paintbrush. This combination results in images which at first glance appear to be photos but upon closer examination are very realistic paintings. And Bonaire in all her glory is a magnificent subject.

 | Paul Taitt | I have travelled frequently over the past few years to the U.S. and British Virgin Islands. My experiences on the islands have opened up a whole new world to me and greatly influence my direction and style of art. I have combined my skills as a Photographer/Digital Artist to create a breathtaking collection of scenes which capture the very beauty and essence of a true Paradise.
I try to preserve the vibrant color and natural movement in each art piece, which, when both are combined, give you a true sense of connection with the Caribbean. Digital technology plays a big part in my process and allows me to express myself without boundary or limitation. This means I can create detailed, inconceivably colorful scenes that would normally be hard to produce. I hope you all take pleasure in my work and I look forward to producing many more prints for your future enjoyment. |
