The fish species diversity on Bonaire is highest for any island in the Caribbean, and the island features healthy reefs as well – flowering with corals and sponges of all sorts of colors and textures. This particular reef scene features a Squirrelfish – a normally reclusive fish that one can only see at night or in dark crevices. Apparently observing the squirrelfish are a Blue Chromis and a Blackbar Soldierfish. They both hovered in their respective positions for quite some time, cautiously observing each other. Perhaps each was considering the other as a viable food source?
