Eagle in Flight - Print

Details

by Jake Richter

About the image
Whenever I see raptors – birds of prey – in the air above me, I stop to watch them. There’s a certain calm and serenity about them, but yet a type of predatory sensation. And if you’re lucky enough to see their eyes, you get the idea that they are very focused on the hunt at all times. Serene and intense all at the same time. This particular eagle was spotted in England.

Egret Water By Linda Richter

Egrets stalk quietly through the salina. A light breeze sends tiny ripples across the water’s surface.

Feeding Hummingbird - Print

Details

by Jake Richter

About the image
Hummingbirds should perhaps better be named “Hoverbirds” due to their ability to hover in place – a skill that is necessary to feed on the nectar of blossoms with their long tongues, which in turn are inside long beaks. This image is based on a hummingbird I saw in the mountains of Costa Rica.

Fijian Spotfin Lionfish - Print

Details

by Jake Richter

About the image
One of the most amazing creatures I found in the water during dives in Fiji were lionfish. Armed with toxic spines, not much will mess with one, and the lionfish know it, and their lazy swimming and relaxed poses merely reinforce that this beautiful fish is one best observed and otherwise left alone.

Fishing Boats - Print

Details

by Jake Richter

This image is from a photograph taken from shore at the Playa Frans area on the island of Bonaire in the Dutch Caribbean. Bonaire has a long marine history, with master mariners for many trading and military vessels having originated on Bonaire. Some of that heritage can surely be attributed to one of Bonaire’s oldest traditions – fishing. Bonaire’s waters are rich with life, and even richer then than now, and Bonairean fishermen in row boats or small sailing fishing boats would and still catch Marlin, Wahoo, Tuna, and Dorado (Mahi-Mahi).

Limited Editions Prints available in two sizes.

Fishing Lessons - Print

Details

by Linda Richter

About the image
The adult Brown pelican glides across the ocean in search of fish schools. Once found he sharply dives, plummeting into the water to scoop up a beakful of water and hopefully a fish dinner. An adolescent pelican flounders in the surf after an unsuccessful dive.

Print available in Large only.

Flamingo Heart - Print

Details

By Linda Richter

About the image
The graceful curves of flamingo heads and necks seem to entwine in the shape of a heart. The fantastic coral oranges and reds add to the implied heart concept. The mottled brown and blue background allows the flamingos to pop to the foreground.

Flamingo Reflecting - Limited Edition Print

Details

Flamingo Reflecting by Jake Richter

About the image
Bonaire is well known for its flamingos, which can be found most anywhere there aren't people and where this is a food supply. They waggle their heads back and forth across the mud or in shallow waters to locate their meals.
